He acts in a way that isn't normal for someone who's just a bestfriend. Kyle denies it heavily to everybody who says so that he's jealous, but he can’t help but feel a little pain that its true. Kyle's ongoing jealousy leads him to make some not so great choices though, that plays a hand in Stan's manipulation. As well as his deep hatred for Wendy.

Part of Ilya is horrified, that their most private, most beloved place has been violated like this, and part of him is, he realizes very guiltily, relieved that this doesn't have to be a secret anymore.
