Summary
Montparnasse glanced above the wall he was currently hiding behind. The room was very large, and strewn with a lot of ledges, boxes and other catwalks that were trying to mimic a cityscape. And between the fake building, and up on the bridges and in the tunnels, there were at least twenty idiots running around and playing war. Twenty idiots way too old to be dressed with body armor made of molded plastic, wearing helmets that made them look like giant bugs. But the worst were the guns they were carrying, horrors painted in gaudy colors that they were barely able to aim in the right direction. They looked like overgrown children. And they were making as much noise as overgrown children. More, even. Couldn’t they at least show a little bit of dignity ? Maybe it was written in the rules that they had to behave like a bunch of baboons.
In other words, Montparnasse was having a very bad time at the laser tag club.

Summary
On the first day they all have off after the-holiday-that-shan’t-be-named-unless-you-want-an-Enjolrant, they all gather to exchange presents. As not to overwhelm everyone, especially those with emptier pockets, they decided the first time that they would assign everyone one of the others for them to buy them a present (they had renounced the Secret Santa three minutes after choosing the name because Grantaire and Bahorel kept calling it « secret Satan »), and then everyone would be free to gift trinkets to whoever they wanted. It had been voted unanimously, except for Enjolras who frowned at the mere mention of presents. Feuilly especially had been quite happy with the proposition ; buying ten to twenty presents each year would deplete his bank account quite fast.

Around him, the storm is still raging. He tries to find someone else, anyone, that he may have tried to take away. But for them, it’s too late. Grantaire rushes to the Musain. He doesn’t know the rules yet, so he has to go back and die by Enjolras’ side, or maybe it won’t work. He has to do it, and it’s that thought that makes him climb upstairs as fast as he can.

Les fantômes déambulent entre ses murs, retraçant les chemins qu’ils ont tant emprunté de leur vivant. Ils traversent les murs, ne comprenant pas que leurs routes ont changé, que la vie a continué sans eux.

Et il ne trouve pas son âme au Paradis ! Ce ne peut être que l’œuvre d'un démon infâme qui l'aura trainée en Enfer, c'est certain ! Déterminé à la sauver, il s’y rend dans l'espoir de l'y retrouver... sauf que l'Enfer n'est pas exactement comme il l'imaginait.
