Summary
Shouta sat in the living room of his apartment, glaring at his case files. About a year ago, this new vigilante team popped up. After four months and no progress, the police assigned him to the case. It’s been six months and he was no closer to knowing anything about them.
He’d run into them a few times as they were leaving scenes, sure, although finding them in the first place was next to impossible. They were small but never spoke, leaving him in the dark about their possible ages. He couldn’t even figure out what their quirks are since they never used them in front of him.

The kid halted his movements and gave Shouta an appraising look. After a moment, he raised his hands higher, in full view. ‘You’re Eraserhead. An underground hero. ~~~~ and I are huge fans.’
‘What was that name?’ Shouta asked. Name signs were unique, usually a combination of other words.
‘T-O-S-H-I,’ the kid fingerspelled. It didn’t quite sound like a name. Maybe it was a nickname?
‘And what’s your name?’ Shouta asked. The kid hesitated a moment before signing.
‘D-E-K-U,’ he spelled before signing what must be his name sign. Deku was definitely not a name. It meant useless. What kind of parent would name their child useless?
