Summary
The Mayfields moved in across the way, and Eddie saw Steve carrying boxes. A bit weird to see Steve Harrington in the trailer park, sure, but maybe the mom paid him twenty bucks or something to help with moving. Not a huge deal. Then Eddie saw Steve Harrington pull up outside that same trailer in his BMW the very next night, around one in the morning. The little redheaded freshman girl came out of her place carrying a backpack and got into the car, and before Eddie could blink Steve was driving off, and Eddie felt like he might throw up.
Sure, technically it's none of his business, but Jesus fuckin' Christ, the girl can't be any more than fifteen at the oldest, and that’s if he’s being generous. He’s almost sure she’s fourteen. Steve's a grown-ass man, so Eddie would probably be well within his rights to call the cops, but what the hell would he say? Officer, I saw them talking. He gave her a ride. The hell kind of evidence is that? Besides, the cops don't give a shit about anything that happens on this side of town, and they sure as hell don’t give a shit about anything that Eddie Munson has to say. Eddie's gonna have to figure something else out.

“Steve,” she says again, with more urgency, and now he’s sure it’s Max. “I need your help.”
Steve’s pulse goes into overdrive. “Max, what’s wrong? I can get Hopper- ”
“No!” she cuts him off, talking fast. “No cops. There’s no time and, and…it’s so cold out there and—and there’s just no time okay? You have to trust me. Please. You know the road I live on? I need you to come here now, but DO NOT stop at the house, just keep driving past it, but come as fast as you can and…” she hesitates “And—you’ll know when you see. You’ll understand.”

Summary
“I called your mom, by the way,” he says. “Told her I was picking you up.”
“Are you taking me back?” Dustin asks, nervously. He didn’t really consider that calling Steve to pick him up might involve Steve dropping him off back to Hawkins. He really doesn’t want to be there right now, he feels too much, everything is too much, too big, the future looming over him feels too intimidating.
“Not yet,” Steve says, and Dustin lets out a relieved breath. “I told her we can put you up for the night and then tomorrow we can figure out what to do, yeah?”
Dustin looks at him, the kind slope of his mouth, the worried lines on his forehead. He suddenly feels bad for upending Steve’s life like this. Surely he had plans for the day, maybe work or school, something he had to do that now has been interrupted by needing to save Dustin, again, but from himself rather than from alternate dimension monsters.
“Sorry, Steve.”
