Summary
Harry Potter would be furious at being abandoned at his beastly relatives' house over the summer after the fiasco at the end of The TriWizard Tournament (and the whole year before it too, to be honest). He would be absolutely fuming over the fact that his friends completely ignored him, along with his godfather and Albus too-many-names Dumbledore, if he could feel much at all.
Instead, Harry's collection of traumas finally got to him and was not to be shaken off this time. In a desperate attempt at survival, his emotions shut themselves in a deep, dark place and left was a Plotting (with a capital P) mind and focus-driven goal. They will Pay (also with a capital P) in unusual ways - through laws and justice. A new concept in the magical world, Harry is certain.
But first... how does an emotionally distant (or even absent) 15-year old protect his cousin against two dementors descending on Little Whinging? With his wand locked inside a cupboard, no less.
The answer: he doesn't. Instead, he waves.
