Here we are post-Village, after the boys, surviving and with Miranda dead, have been hauled back to the US to decide just what's going to happen with them. They encounter some unexpected allies when they get there, though.

Johnny looked at him like he had gone mad, and Ghost resisted the urge to fidget. Few people could throw Ghost off his game the way the Sergeant did, but the surprise on the man’s face did something to his stomach that he decided not to think about. “I- uh. You sure, LT? It’s a lot of work,”
Mother MacTavish said something again, and Johnny pulled his phone back to his ear, still watching Ghost as if waiting for him to deliver the punchline of one of his terrible jokes. “Yeah, I’m still here, sorry Mam. I, uh, might have a helper. Would it be alright t’ have my uh, Lieutenant come help?”
More chatter. Johnny’s mother sounded… loud. But Johnny grinned. “A-aye, that one, Mam. Aye, alright Mam, we’ll see ya then. Get th’ guest room up?” The response was distinctly scolding, and Johnny bit his lip to suppress another smile. “Aye, love ya too. Tell the girls hi for me, aye?” When the call ended, Johnny set the phone down on the cot beside him and looked at the masked man still standing awkwardly in his room. And he smirked. “So, LT. You ever worked with sheep?”Oh yes. He had made a terrible mistake.

The need to hide, to curl up in a warm, soft den, was cowed only by his mate’s powerful arms wrapped around him, swiftly, easily carrying him like some silly human bride they had seen on the shore once. “Shit,” he groaned as the latest spasm subsided. Contractions, and they both knew it.
“Easy, love,” Ghost murmured, holding onto his mate all the tighter. They were in familiar territory, now; he recognized the distinct marking carved into a piece of rock. “I think I ‘ave a place for us to go.”

Summary
Hidden from the world above, the different races of merfolk thrived within the ocean realm- that is, until the race of men appeared. When humans discovered that mythical creatures such as mermaids and mersharks were real, true flesh and blood beings that lived within the ocean depths, it sparked the wonder and amazement of millions. But the darker, greedier aspects of human nature soon emerged, and as time passed countless merfolk were captured or killed, hunted to near extinction.
Tucked away along the Scottish isles lived a tribe of Blacktip mersharks that managed to escape the negative impacts of man. Among those was a mershark who was quite different from the rest, one who, at times, had a propensity to let his curious, adventurous nature overrule his better judgment. A character trait that had nearly gotten Soap killed in his youth by the human hunters his kind so despised.
To his shock, he was also saved by the very creatures he was taught to hate and fear, and Soap was left with the astounding discovery that not all humans were bad. But... some merfolk would never be swayed, and as two worlds collided, Soap's loyalty to those he loved would be tested in ways he never imagined.

While running out of ways to save her little farm, Stella turns to her very last option. Making an alliance with a group of raiders.
Some raiders who've been creeping around her property seem a little less horrible than the typical sort, and at this point, Stella’s got nothing left to lose.
Problem is, she's not exactly sure what the hell she could barter with considering that all she has is a ruined, ransacked farm and her last shred of hope clinging to her like gum on the bottom of her shoe.
TLDR: A very angry, and at her wit's end bossy farmer gal makes a bunch of demands to a raider gang, calling them names while she's at it. They kinda like it. The lot of 'em are good at killing and scavving, not so good with ladies.
