His big brother didn’t answer right away. He suddenly looked tired. The kind of tired that settled in after parties when everyone else had gone home and the noise drained out and there was nothing left to do but clean and think. He rubbed a large hand over the back of his neck and shoulder, suspiciously close to his mark, eyes fixed somewhere near the baseboards.
“You know what he’s like,” he finally dismissed, the words sounding almost automatic, “Doesn’t mean anythin’ by it.”

(Pillar Zenitsu AU!) Zenitsu feared death; but if it was for his friend, he didn't mind dying heroically. Though, if he knew he was going to die this way, he wished he could've spent more time with the people he loved and lived his life a little bit differently.
As warm tears rushed down his cheeks, Zenitsu gave his final breath, completely unaware his wish have been granted.

Summary
Blake and Adam attack an SDC shipment in Forever Fall. On arriving, though. It turns out to be a trap set by Weiss Schnee to get revenge. Her plan backfires and she ends up a captive of the White Fang. Leveraging someone from Adam's past, Jacques Schnee is able to broker a deal to get his daughter back. Adam will need to fight off all of Remnant to get her back to safety, though.

Summary
To describe the relationship Zenitsu had with his senior, he only had to use one word; dead. They were two different people somehow destined to despise each other. With no way to reunite or bond with one another. For his fellow Thunder breathing user refused to form any meaningful connection between them.
So when his 'brother's' personality had suddenly turned on itself. Zenitsu thinks that his senior had been replaced by a demon. No, he's sure of it.
