Summary
You open the door, pretending to stretch and yawn. As if turning in early for the night. As you loll your head back and your mouth opens to let out the sound of exhaustion, you glance up, and then you catch it. In the dark corner of your room, perched atop your wardrobe, two yellow eyes gaze down at you.
The heat of excitement instantly warms your cheeks. You try not to smile again, but you fail. You hope he can’t see it in this horribly dark room.
Then you turn away from the small yellow lights in the room, walking towards your bed. Your smile grows wider when you hear the gentle creak of the wardrobe as he dismounts it.
You can’t help but glance over your shoulder.
He’s sneaking up behind you. His tail sways side to side slowly behind him. Like a cat about to pounce.
“You are a terrible actor, mein schatz.” Kurt taunts as his hands find purchase at your waist, nuzzling into your neck.
“Really? I thought I was playing clueless quite well.”
“Ohh! Well, yes, you were.” He’s sparing your feelings. “But… It was hard not to know you knew when I heard you so desperately open every door in hopes of finding me.”
