    Bruce Wayne is the richest man in Gotham, thanks to Wayne Enterprises. The trouble is, Tim is pretty sure Wayne Enterprises doesn’t actually exist. The earliest record of the company isn’t more than a couple decades old, despite the public perception that Wayne inherited everything from his parents. What’s more, far more money seems to be going out of the company than going in. Tim’s investigation leads him to the Bats, a feared gang of supervillains notorious for their violence and grand schemes—a sure combination for danger. But soon, Tim’s snooping becomes less about uncovering the truth, and more about taking solace in this strange, broken family he observes.

    And somehow becomes a part of.

    Or, an AU where a villainous batfam adopts a civilian Tim.

    Jason's been stuck on this drug case for a whole month and he's got nothing. That is, until his tiny, anxious ex-neighbor shows up at his safehouse with a backpack full of evidence saying that the entire drug operation is being run by his parents.

    Tim figured out that his parents were big-time drug traffickers at age nine, but when people start dying and Batman won't listen to him, the only available option is the Red Hood, who's just as likely to shoot him as he is to help him. That's why it's such a surprise when Tim shows up at his safehouse and Gotham's most undead and dangerous vigilante invites him in for spaghetti dinner.

    Two months into Tim’s new foster placement with the Waynes, he wakes up feeling kind of lousy.

    His stomach started hurting sometime after dinner the night before, which he initially chalked up to the heaviness of Alfred’s chicken fettuccine; that man does not skimp on the heavy cream. It’s why he only ever makes it when Dick—the family’s resident lactose intolerant dumbass, as Jason so lovingly puts it—is confirmed to be staying in Bludhaven for the evening.

    (Not that it ever works. Dick’s been known to sniff out leftovers from the fridge days later like a bloodhound, consequences to his delicate digestive system be damned.)
