The two of them didn't share a bed all that often anymore, hadn't since Sam was twelve and their father decided they were too old for it; but even before his feelings for his brother had gotten tangled all to hell, Dean had never stopped missing it, the closeness of it and the comfort, the tangible reminder that he wasn't alone. They weren't talking about it.
Summary:The first time Dean Winchester kissed his brother, he was twenty years old and in a sewer twelve feet below the Bronx, ankle-deep in fetid water with a thoroughly harpooned, thoroughly dead monster leaking blood and entrails at his feet.
Yeah. He was pretty sure he couldn't have made that more awkward if he'd tried.

Sam heard Dean roll back over with a heavy sigh. "He's just being a stupid princess, all this drama, and he can't even--"

Sam curved forward into a little ball, burying his head in his arms, and tried to keep breathing, even though he felt like he was going to run out of oxygen with every other breath. Maybe Dean was right and he was a drama princess, but it was all suddenly just too much. If Dean had gotten him some honey, then he would have known that somebody liked him, at least a little bit, only now, nobody liked him and he was under the bed, feeling like he was trapped in a corner with no way out, and he never wanted Dad to look at him that way again, ever, ever--
Summary:John takes the boys to training one summer when Sam is 13 years old. This fic shows us how difficult it was for Sam to live something he didn't want, surrounded by people who expected something he wasn't.-
