“Sim Jaeyun, you are to join in hand and heart with one Lee Heeseung on the first day of July, to align families and lands for generations to come,” his father reads from the paper, and Jake’s heart feels like it’s rising in his throat, feels like it’s going to burst out of his mouth and splatter over his mother’s pristine emerald shoes. He swallows so hard that it hurts.
“Who?” he asks.
Or: Never-been-touched Jake has dreamt of his marriage since before he could walk, but Heeseung is someone beyond even all of his wildest imaginings.

Summary
“Yep, that’s Jake,” Jay had told him once, pausing the accursed video Jungwon had taken of the experience to zoom in on the stranger’s face. “He’s one of Heeseung-hyung’s friends. Don’t know much more than that. Seems cool.”
Standing before Sunoo now, Jake definitely does appear “cool,” in some sense of the word. He’s older than Sunoo – likely a year above him, at least. His stance is relaxed, his expression chipper, and he seems to actually want to be here, which is more than Sunoo can say for his past group project partners. Of all the people he could have been paired with for this final assignment, this certainly isn’t a bad one to land with.
Now if only Sunoo hadn’t drunkenly waxed poetry about the guy’s bone structure to his face at a random party surrounded by multitudes of people.
(alternatively titled: tfw your new photography class partner is a guy you flirted with at a party once)

Summary
Jake groans as he finally approaches his door. The thumping bass of R&B music blares through the walls. He has grown accustomed to his roommate’s deafening music taste. Jay is a dance major and Jake has watched him practice choreo countless times despite their minimal space.
He slides his key card into the door and opens it to meet Jay’s eyes. Jake’s brain seems to lag as he observes the scene unfolding in front of him. Jay is completely naked where he’s positioned on his knees behind a girl. She lays on his bed with her face pressed into the mattress and her ass in the air. Jay moves his hips to thrust into her. His rhythm does not falter, despite the clear interruption.
Or
Jake hates his roommate. They find a way to resolve their issues.
