Turning around, Lucifer sees the last person he expected to see this evening (or ever, perhaps, if he was being honest with himself): the Detective. He hadn’t seen her in a few days, not since she saw him for the monster he is. And he couldn’t get rid of the image from his mind of her eyes wide with shock and fear.
He probably should have left by now – but perhaps, just a small part of him, hoped she would come find him… at least allow him the chance to fix things or say goodbye properly…
