One week. That's how long the new mission for the Constructicons was, one week. It really wasn't a long mission, heck they have had longer missions plenty of times. The difference this time was that the entire gestalt, minus Prowl, was going this time

Fed up with the constant run-around for construction material, Scrapper hires a bot to do that for them. A very pretty bot with a grabbable waist and a chassis for days who can bully any stubborn distributor or supplier with a very long and pointed comm call and can stare any of the Constructicons down with nary a twitch of his fancy little doorwings.
Not that Long Haul is looking or anything. Well, okay, they're all looking, really, but looking is all they will do, because this bot won't stay for long. Surely he had better things to do than climb up in his lap and preen rocks out from his neck cables.
Haha... unless...?

A radio was softly broadcasting music somewhere in the background, but Prowl couldn’t exactly focus on it. His leg was bouncing, his hands tightly clasped together on his lap. The base had felt suffocating as of late, and he couldn’t wait to get away from there. Hopefully they will be going back home soon, despite Prowl having arrived back on Earth not that many solar cycles ago.
It had been a mistake coming back here…
Or
Prowl leaves for Earth for a few days, trying to get away from some unwanted feelings. Unlucky for him, music has its way of reminding us of what we try to forget
