Two’s hyper aware of just how little time has passed, and even though it feels like he’s known Vessel for longer - can’t imagine not having Vessel’s texts to wake up and fall asleep to, to the sight of his eyes crinkling when he laughs, to the familiar sound of his bike pulling up outside - Two’s just. Maybe he’s worried.
And yeah, he’s not in love with Vessel, but he definitely… well. He loves Vessel. Vess has carved himself out a nice little spot in Two’s heart, smack between Mags and Mia, Three and Ivy, Gem and Jay; popped himself in there neatly, like he’s always belonged.

“How do you feel about Ivy coming over tomorrow?” Two asks, trying for casual and knows he misses it by the way Vessel raises an eyebrow, giving him a look. “We have a meeting about security for the party, get over yourself.”
“What, he’s not coming over just to see me?” Vessel says with a cheeky smile, and Two rolls his eyes again, but Vessel's smile turns small and precious, that little thing that lights up Two’s heart. “I mean, sure, I don’t mind? If he’s only coming over for a meeting.”
“Well.” Two starts, before stumbling over his words, because he did say they’d finished for the night, but. “There might be more. I just. I wanted to get a read on you first, before I asked.”

Here’s the thing: Two takes pride in his abilities as a dom, his willingness to hear others out and make them feel good - it’s about the satisfaction, the pent-up release, and more than anything, it’s about the care.
Plus, he likes being one, is really fucking good at it, even before he was being paid to do it at the clubs. Nowadays? Two just does it for fun, for himself, and while he still does the occasional stints at underground gigs or sex parties, Two’s happily settled into post-dom life.

Two’s gonna study business management, because he doesn’t know what the fuck else to do, and his dad kinda wants him to take over the realtor business when he retires - not that Two wants to, fuck, he doesn’t wanna be a landlord, good god. But Vess had brought over booklets, months ago, excitedly mentioning the design courses he’s gonna take, and Two had just… let himself get pulled into his tide.
Because the fact of the matter is, he’s gonna follow Vess wherever he goes. And that fucking sucks, when you’re sorta-in-love with him.

Bruce grabs the wrists that are held against his chest, trying to push him off. Kal just shoves him again, his deceptive strength keeping Bruce pinned. His eyes are ablaze, brows low and angry, disapproving. He’s shorter than Bruce, dark hair blowing in the wind, but his presence is large, his power crackling under his skin. “Get off me.”
“No.” Kal’s fingers are digging into his armor, leaving dents. “You’re reckless and stupid. You don’t know what you’re doing.”
“And you do? How long have you even been on this planet?”
Kal draws his hand back, and Bruce tenses, thinking this is it. They’re finally going to kick the shit out of each other, and probably break some things along the way.
But that doesn’t happen.
