Episode Extension: Season 4 Ep 8 - Stranded
Cyborg teases Robin, claiming Starfire is his girlfriend, and he freaks out, denying it. Starfire, extremely hurt, spends the rest of the episode unable to fly. In the original episode, they have a brief talk where Robin finally admits that he thinks Starfire is amazing, and when she asks if he minds having a friend who is a girl, he says he actually... but is cut off by a monster.
But what if he wasn't?
Here's my take on what would've and should've happened before, during, and after this potential scene.

Summary
Robin wakes up screaming Starfire's name. He has never felt more terrified that he does right now, hands scrambling in the dark for his staff, trying to find Slade before he... before...
But it was just a nightmare. He's back in the Tower now and everyone is safe. He's awake, where Slade and all his other horrible memories cannot touch him. All that reaches him now is the guilt... guilt and the light filtering from his door, opening slowly. Maybe he's still dreaming, because an angel seems to be on the other side...
"Robin? You called for me?"

Summary
He sat completely still, absorbing her words. This was so far beyond the point he would usually allow them to go. The two of them were always balancing on the edge of this cliff, and he always had to pull them back before they could fall. Now, in the fading heat of the summer sun, it was like she took his hand and went running as fast as she could toward the plunge, and this time he wasn’t sure he wanted to stop.
The world had just ended, hadn’t it? It ended, and somehow they saved it, and now maybe they had a chance at something he never thought they could have.
