“Frieren, does food all taste the same to you?” he asks. Frieren picks at the edge of the menu with a fingernail.
“Yes and no. I taste it, but after knowing and expecting the taste, there’s not much distinction. You’d understand better if you’ve tasted every type of food that’s been invented.”
Himmel nods. “I see.”
They place their orders and they don’t speak until their food arrives.

“Do you really like them so much?” Sancho asked leaning over the side of couch.
Bari nodded, “They’re really sweet. So good I feel bad eating them all every time.” She smiled softly, offering Sancho a hand the way a lady was expecting a knight to take. “How about you take a bite of me and we’ll call it even?”
Sancho sneered batting the hand away with scorn, her lips curling in disgust as she turned, as if repulsed, as if the very thought sickened her. “Do not insult me. I would not harm my—” her jaw snapped shut, and it was only after a heavy pause under Bari’s gaze that Sancho finished, “Our guest.”

When she joined the Order, they had given her a syllabus-of-sorts and told her to tick off each item on the list. It was easy enough under Shishiba’s tutelage. There was just one item left now, and it was something obscure called ‘captivation’.
Hyo said, “The old term for it was seduction.”
Something occurred to her then. “So I have to…?” She couldn’t quite say the word. “With Mr. Shishiba?”
Osaragi faces the biggest challenge of her training: seducing Mr. Shishiba.
