Xie Lian probably knows he’s there, but he doesn’t open the door, giving Hua Cheng time to build up the courage to go inside on his own two feet.
He hesitates for a minute because he knows why he’s been summoned.
Hua Cheng is confident that Xie Lian has read Yin Yu’s report on their last mission together. It’s all there. Hua Cheng knows better than to lie to Xie Lian, and Yin Yu is a practical, loyal man, and loyalty to Hua Cheng also means loyalty to his god.
So he can’t imagine Xie Lian is very pleased with how he chose to manage the situation.
Hua Cheng, surely, is going to get punished.or

Wen Kexing is aware of the following things.
One, Han Ying would die for Zhou Zishu - and Wen Kexing likes that in a man. Two, upon their first meeting Han Ying dropped to his knees before A-Xu the moment Wen Kexing let go of his throat - and that is simply just interesting. Three, Han Ying is A-Xu's in a way no one else is anymore.
That last part, he could find an issue with. Or, he could use it for the best - he is not called Philanthropist Wen for nothing, after all.

“Then, San Lang is right. He deserves a reward for his efforts”, Xie Lian says. He moves lower, kissing Hua Cheng’s neck, and then his collarbones; Hua Cheng makes a pleased, low groan at the lingering touch of his beloved’s lips.
Xie Lian smiles, taking a deep breath to calm his fluttering heart. He is surprisingly excited — more than ever before, maybe — about taking the lead in this way, and it fills him with an unfamiliar surge of confidence. It’s another flavour of that wonderful kind of adventurous thrill only Hua Cheng has ever been able to awaken in him.

Bristling immediately, Liu Qingge draws himself up ramrod straight. “I have no wish to play your games, demon,” he spits. Shen Qingqiu makes some kind of small noise behind his fan, perhaps a laugh or a sound of dismay, and Liu Qingge tries to ignore the way the tips of his ears heat up.
“Actually, Shidi, it was this shixiong’s idea.” Shen Qingqiu uncrosses his legs and sits a little straighter on his throne, which is far more ornate than Luo Binghe’s. The solemn dignity is marred a little by the pile of cushions spilling out from underneath his robes and the bag of melon seeds resting on the arm.
Liu Qingge’s chest aches faintly. This is fairly normal when he’s around Shen Qingqiu, so he ignores it. -

Step 2: On the way to their picnic, Shen Qingqiu will stop by Bai Zhan to tell Liu Qingge he saw some great beast roaming around that area. Liu Qingge will, of course, go to fight it.
Step 3: He and Luo Binghe will travel by sword to their destination while Liu Qingge prepares for a hunt, set up in a location visible from above, and wait.Step 4 doesn't quite go as planned.

Hua Cheng moved even lower, kissing Xie Lian's cheek, to his jaw, and finally his neck. He murmured on the hot skin, "Gege looks very appealing when he's so ruthless and showcasing his strength. This one couldn't help but… wonder."
"Hm?"
"What would gege do if he were to use me when he's on edge."
The god hummed, letting his husband nibble on his sensitive skin by tilting his head for more access. "Then San Lang wants such a treatment from me?"
"En," the ghost king confirmed. "Even just once is fine, gege. I don't want to force you."
Xie Lian was silent for a while and Hua Cheng took this opportunity to let his hands work. He was already working on the god's outer robes and Xie Lian simply let him.
Eventually, the god said, "Alright."
