On a nameless ice world, Optimus Prime sustains a severe injury saving Megatron's life. Alone on the abandoned battlefield in the middle of a blizzard with a helpless Optimus, Megatron has the opportunity to end the war, if only he could pull the trigger.

A partial list of things referenced while writing this fic: Dragon Age Inquisition The Descent DLC; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's total perspective vortex; the heat death of the universe; the Cave of the Crystals in Naica, Mexico; a plasma globe; many videos of lobster claws being cracked open.
(It's a fic where Megatron and Optimus eat Primus' spark and frag in a pool of their own energon.)
