Summary
Alec is older than he looks, younger than he feels and yet in all of his time he’s never once felt power like Magnus’. It’s not even his magic, or not just his magic. It’s his entirety. It makes Alec want to lean into him, to trust him. To spill the secrets of his soul and go where Magnus leads.
It’s a dangerous feeling for any, but especially for him yet he doesn’t try nearly as hard as he should to fight it.
Instead he lets himself relax. Puts down his guard just enough and is rewarded with a hand that presses to the small of his back as he shows the gardens to Magnus and is gifted with how something as simple as a hand against his body can feel like a brand.
As if he already belongs to Magnus.
Many have tried to claim Alec as their own, but never has he thought to bend his own knee.
For Magnus, in time, he thinks he might do so and do it gladly.
