Summary
Nova has been best friends with Beth Smith since childhood and grew up in and out of the Sanchez household. She idolized Rick through what few interactions she had with him and when she was 16 and he left his family, she was destroyed. Moving on with her life, she met Ryan Dawes, a successful albeit controlling man who took over her life and dictated her every movement lest she incur his wrath. Rick returns 15 years later to find Nova as Beth's next door neighbor and the reasons he left became all too apparent.
