Summary
“You know I love you, right?” Gyuvin suddenly asks, voice as soft as a whisper.
Ricky’s eyes shift into something unreadable as his face goes completely still. He takes a second too long to answer. To anyone else, it’d be meaningless. To Gyuvin, it makes his stomach instantly fall. Like he made a mistake. Like something’s shattered and he won’t be able to put it back together. Like he's in trouble.
“I know.” Ricky’s fingers twitch by his side. Gyuvin doesn’t even say anything about how there’s no ring on his finger. He doesn’t want to imagine why. He isn’t sure he can handle it right now. “I love you, too.”
That’s a pretty good example of how things are lately.
Gyuvin and Ricky have been best friends for over thirteen years. When they start drifting apart, Gyuvin starts to wonder where everything went wrong.
