Their Fridays are quite routine, really. They both get out of class at 2:30, head to the gym for an hour or two after. Part ways until 5, then make dinner and laze until it’s an appropriate time to start drinking. Throw back a beer or five before booking it to Jeonghan and Seungkwan’s. Head to whatever party’s on for the night. Talk to a girl, or five, hope one lands and rock paper scissors on whoever gets to have the apartment for the night.
But that last part has been proving a little difficult. That last part has somehow turned into: Talk to a girl, or five, fail every time, and somehow end up in bed together instead.
(Or: Seungcheol and Mingyu are the campus fuckboys who've been struggling to get laid. So, naturally, to let out their frustrations, they start sleeping with each other. In a totally straight way, of course.)

There’s a beat of silence. “Feelings,” Madam Liu repeats, slowly, clearly unimpressed.
“I mean—not, like, deep feelings,” Mingyu rushes to explain. “Just stuff like, ‘You did a good job’ or ‘Your outfit is cool today’ or ‘Hey, I really like your face and also possibly your soul, but in a chill, friendly way.’ You know?”
Madam Liu blinks at him. “So… compliments. Emotional nuance. Casual admiration of someone’s face and… soul.”

It's been a hot minute since I read something so well thought-out and reflective. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm so glad I chose to revisit this work despite dropping it the first time.
### spoilers below for people searching bookmarks!!! ###
just started chapter 10. I've read this twice technically. first time I stopped midway through chapter 4 bc I was barely able to process anything (brain fog depression things) but I had figured out in chapter 2 what mingyu's intention was, in killing his soulmates. now I'm stopping off with the understanding that mingyu is trying to find wonwoo again, just like Jun is trying to find minghao again, in a world where your soulmate is different each time, almost like a lottery. Mingyu is gaming the system, going through as many lives as it takes until wonwoo shows up again. Jun is just staying alive as long as he can, until Minghao finally reappears. this fic is pure genius
