“I, uh… Can’t seem to get the door open.”
Once again Phoenix attempted to turn the doorknob, and his fingers met with an icy cold that almost hurt considering his body temperature. However, the knob refused to budge. The door wasn’t locked, Phoenix checked, but no matter how much force he used… the knob wouldn’t budge.
He turned back to see a frown on Edgeworth’s face and moved out of the way so his friend could attempt to open the door where he had failed. However, turns out Phoenix wasn’t the only one who failed that day.“Yikes. I guess we’re… Stuck in here, then?”

While in England, Miles Edgeworth receives a call. Unable to answer, he lets it go to voicemail. That voicemail changes his life. Across the Atlantic Ocean, Phoenix Wright wakes up with the worst hangover of his life. He thinks he called Edgeworth last night, but he doesn’t remember why or what he said. Hopefully it wasn’t anything weird.

“Hey, Edgeworth,” slurred Phoenix Wright, drawing out the y sound in hey, like a flirtatious young woman. “How ya doin’, buddy? Thought—thought I’d give you a call. But it looks like I missed ya. Just my luck.” He sighed, and Miles could practically smell the alcohol on his breath through the speaker.

"No, I-" Miles blanches, caught off guard, "I don't know. Wooing feels like a waste of valuable time. Shouldn't the parties involved just... know?"
Klavier and Apollo are stunned, the latter momentarily forgetting his embarrassment. They stare-slack jawed at Miles.
"Forgive me, but know what?" Klavier asks tentatively.
Miles sighs, exasperated, his reserves of patience dwindling fast, "when the time is right, two people will simply know they are in a relationship, naturally."
Miles worries he and Phoenix may not be on the same page about their relationship.

Trucy sniffs the air, as she squeezes herself besides Miles on the couch, "see, that's how I knew you were here. Smelled way too good for it to be Daddy's cooking."
"Wuzzat..?" Wright grunts, roused from sleep, squirming himself upright. Miles' executive functions shut down as Wright's lips unintentionally brush against his pulse point. He hopes the dim lighting hides the blush creeping up his neck as the man sits up, smacking his lips together, "oh, hey Truce."
After falling asleep on his shoulder, Phoenix accidentally kisses Miles, sending them both into a spiral.

Summary
He sits on the roof, sweating, and thinks about Phoenix Wright. The stubbornest man he's ever met, and the best. If he's honest, yes, it is largely Phoenix Wright's fault that he ran away, not because of shame, but because being on the receiving end of that constant, bullheaded, endless trust had felt like being cared for in a way that nobody had ever cared for Miles. It had felt good. Better than Miles had any right to feel.
Hence the guilt trip, pun very much intended.
