Summary
Tavlor has lightning in her blood—Astarion would know, he tasted it when he drank from her. The only problem is she can’t seem to control it, or even use it at all, unless her life is in mortal peril. While the others see her as a liability, Astarion sees an opportunity to secure protection, a steady food supply, and a chance to reclaim the power that was taken for him. But when his interference has deadly consequences, he learns that he isn’t the only one concealing dark secrets. She clenched her jaw, wanting not to tremble beneath him. She should’ve been ashamed. But gods, it was hard to think when Astarion was like this—when he made her feel so alive.
