Sure, Spencer gave him a five-minute head start to hide or run or do whatever, but he knew Spencer watched him run for as long as possible. He could feel those eyes on his neck. Even while his hunter waited patiently on the sidelines, Jack couldn’t help but feel helpless from the very beginning.
He couldn’t be too mad about it, either. He was the idiot that agreed to all of this.
