Who is Evan Meyers?
The man known as Evan Buckley was adopted when he was 3 and grew up with loving parents as Evan Meyers. When he applies for the LAFD he is known as Evan Buckley once more.
After the truck bombing, a pulmonary embolism, and surviving a tsunami, Evan has had it with Los Angeles. No one from the 118 has visited, called, or checked on him in months except Carla and Christopher. When Evan finds out that it's Bobby holding him back and not the higher ups, he decides that it's time to go home and leave the facade of Evan 'Buckley' in Los Angeles.
He packs up and makes his way to Austin, Texas where his parents and a certain cop is waiting for him.

Summary
Buck was sobbing by the end of the song, but he still played it again. Because it felt so much like his life right then. He was terrified and haunted. By everything he’d been through and so much of it involved Eddie that there was no denying it anymore even if he wanted to. He’d been so stupid to think he didn’t love his best friend. And it hurt so much because he knew it would never be reciprocated. Eddie could accept people in his life being queer, but he’d never accept being that way himself. Buck didn’t know if Eddie was or wasn’t in love with him too, but that didn’t matter. Because the way Eddie made Buck feel was enough. As the song played on, Buck just felt how much he loved Eddie and how he’d already accepted the heartache that came with it. He was heartbroken for something he’d never gotten and would never get to have.

Buck listens to music and finally processes his emotions about all the crap that happened in his life. Ravi joins him, Hen and Chimney are confused and worried, and Eddie is sticking to avoidance and internal panic, as is his way.

Buck was two beers in when he saw something that didn’t seem right. It couldn’t be. Could it? He knew the breadth of shoulders anywhere. He recognized the outfit, too. It was one Tommy liked to wear when he put extra effort into a date. Buck had to be imagining things.
No, he was definitely seeing what he thought he saw. Tommy. Tommy was all over another man.
What he didn't expect was the steadfast support from Sal Deluca.
It starts with breaking and entering to get Buck's stand mixer, then it turned into lunches, and finally it became something they both could admit to. And Buck loved every minute of it.

“Captain Nash, first off I would like to state that Evan is alive.” And Bobby almost sags down onto the floor. He doesn’t, but Chimney does it for him. Sliding off the couch, letting go of Hen, as she sobs in relief. “I know this is never a call you want to receive and it's one we don’t wish to give.”
“Can you give me any details?” Bobby chokes out, he needs to know what happened. Needs to be ready for whatever is to come. Because it’s something. His eyes met Eddies, whose eyes are shiny.
They don’t call if Evan isn’t hurt.
“Officer Nash, Evan.” And the man does sound affected and Bobby realizes that this man may directly know his son, “Was out in the field, a infiltration mission, I apologize I can’t be more specific.” Bobby doesn’t give a fuck, “We were ambushed, I’m sorry Captain but Evans leg was crushed underneath a tank.”

A smile breaks out on his face, he’s seen her before, “Hi!” He comes towards her and she looks amused, he can’t help but wonder why. “What can I do for you?”
Her hand waves, her bracelets gleaming off of what is left of their daylight. “Oh nothing guero.” But she leans a little looking at the flowers, “Just coming to see what you’ve done with those sad flores.”
Buck perks, “Oh! I know huh, Eddie really doesn’t have a green thumb so now that I live here, I wanted to try and give them some life back.”
She chuckles and then pats his shoulder, “Aren’t you a good esposo.”
