Summary
A deafening scream pierced the air around them, breaking the calm atmosphere of the diner. In the moment, time seemed to almost slow down. Michael was acutely aware of everything around him, from his heart pounding in his ears, to his brother, who was now hanging limply from Fredbear's mouth, to the blood that seemed to be everywhere except for where it belonged. The image would forever be ingraned in his mind. He couldn't move, couldn't think, he wasn't even sure if he was breathing. Not when everything was crashing down in front of him. It was just meant to be a joke. A game. But now the game was over, and they had both lost.

“Something’s wrong,” you gasp out, finally. It sounds sickeningly familiar. Something’s broken, something’s failing, rotting. “Something’s wrong with the loops.”
Loop considers this, or at least they seem to. The silence makes them seem almost thoughtful, for a few moments, tilting their head at you. “With the loops,” they echo, sounding far too skeptical for someone with the form and abilities they have.

You can see the shimmer on his skin. The tears collected on the pads of his thumbs, slowly rolling down towards his wrists.
Your breath catches, a pathetic, struggling thing. Ice floods your veins. Isabeau’s sickly pale skin is on display, his wide, shocked eyes staring into nothing, the fear pooled in them burrowing into your very being. Frozen. Gone. The harrowing sight is ingrained in your mind forever, something you can never forget, no matter how many loops you force yourself through. You have failed; it is your fault.
You can go back. You can fix this. You have to. It cannot end like this. It can’t. The air smells like burnt sugar; it’s suffocating.
The world tilts, and you find the stars are looking again. Greeting you, welcoming you home. Beckoning. You grip the knife harder, its handle digging into your palm.
Reach out to us! The stars cry, and your arm moves. The blade tilts towards you in a practiced manner, moonlight glimmering off its sharpened edge. This is the fastest way, the most efficient, you know this.
