Summary
Set directly after S4's Goodbye. I've lost count of how many times I've done this, but fanfic is imaging your favs doing the same thing 75 different ways so there you have it. Carmy takes Tina's advice and refuses to let his argument with Syd in the back alley go. Title is a line by Phil from Groundhog Day about Rita.

“What part of the friendship stage is it,” she answers, crossing her arms. “Where you dump a partnership agreement in my inbox-”
“You want me to ask you out?” he says hopefully.
“You already stood me up!” she answers with a flash of her eyes, and it feels like a weight sitting there on top of his chest.
“And you don't want a divorce?” he asks, skipping right to the point, rather than revisit his crimes again.
“I want everything. All in one place.”

Summary
God, Shane never wanted to be mad at him. He hadn’t wanted to continue it. He had wanted to play, too, to suspend reality and just let himself believe that this room was his whole world, that he could talk to Rozanov, play with Rozanov, that nothing else mattered. And the champagne in his blood, the looseness it brought to his shoulders, the ease it granted his brain made it so he could merely sniff in the extra moisture in his nose, blink away the wetness in his eyes, and look up at Rozanov like they were normal, like nothing else had been said. “Why would God take a call from you, Rozanov?” he had said, voice small but brave.
Rozanov had finally grinned, had let Shane see his beautiful teeth. Shane had wanted to be bit, in that moment, all over. “He knows me,” had been his response.
Shane had sniffed again, had looked down at Rozanov’s shoes, how one of them was gently stepping onto Shane’s foot. An anchor. “God’s not gonna take a call from you.”
“Hm. Why?”
His chest had felt warm. “Because you’re evil.”
or, Shane's drunk, and yearning for Ilya Rozanov is inescapable, and probably bad for him

“Where do you want to go?” Rozanov had entertained him, placing his hand on Shane’s cheek, thumb smoothing his skin back.
“I don’t know.” Shane hadn’t known. He hadn’t known, but when he’d chanced a look up, at the way the bright lights reflected off the gelled mess that had been Rozanov’s hair, how Shane’s frenzy had allowed a few curls to spring free and weakly curl closer to the crown of Rozanov’s head, he’d known the answer. He’d wanted it gone, all the product, until there was nothing but Rozanov’s hair and the natural smell of his scalp. “Swimming,” he’d told him, sounding somewhat strained, because Rozanov had still been stroking his skin back, stretching the side of his mouth awkwardly. “I wanna go swimming.”
The smile Rozanov had given him had eased him back into that pliant mess. “Swimming,” he’d confirmed, at which Shane had nodded. “Okay.

"Hi," Shane said shyly.
Ilya chuckled, "Hi, Shane. You feel good?"
"Yeah, thanks. I'm great. Just chilling." Shane wasn't sure if his eyes were still open or not, but he definitely felt high, and it felt great.
If he could open his eyes, he'd text Rose and tell her she was a genius. It was uncanny how she always gave the best advice and he was starting to think that she might've been his guardian angel. Tell Rose that I said thank you. And that I owe her. And I hope I don't forget to text this later. He'd surely forget his words in a matter of seconds, but he tried to memorize them anyway

Summary

“How old are you, Rook?”
“Old enough,” Shane had answered truthfully, but it wasn’t his fault that The Short American hadn’t specified on which side of the border.
The drinks kept pouring in after that.Scott Hunter convinces Shane Hollander to join the team at a bar the night after the All-Star Skills Competition. He hadn't meant for Shane to get as drunk as he did.
