Summary
Season 4 Episode 4 the cheerleaders make kryptonite/love chemical and put it into the football team's sports drink. This fic is if, after the events of the episode, Lex Luthor decides to test drink some of that love potion. I tried to make this canon compliant, so you can imagine it during and just post-episode 4 for some added spice to canon, if you'd like.
First there's some Lex Luthor perspective on what was going through his head this episode when he bought Smallville football team jerseys and gave them the speech (then talked to Clark), when he was in Clark's barn then saved him from Jason and was going to help a wounded Clark until Clark just was Fine again, and when him and Clark talk in the Room. Then post-episode, Lex tries some of the love potion the cheerleaders made, stuff ensues, and Clark shows up.
Or: Lex and Clark both want the truth so much it hurts, and both can't stop themselves from lying to each other.
