It was a quiet moment that seemed outside of the world, they sat across from each other on a warm metal bench, an odd and wonderful find as the heat left their hemisphere for summer across the world.
It reminded him of when they were kids, five or six, and waiting on a bench like this for their parents to pick them up. He had been promising that yes he would be there tomorrow, and he would trade his apple for her marzipan and they would finish their lunch as fast as possible so they could play house again. Marinette had complained that she didn't want to stay in the house and wanted to go to 'work'.

Honestly... Adrien had never meant to drop by Marinette's house. Especially as Chat Noir, normally, if he was going to stop by, he would've stopped by as his civilian persona.
He had never meant to let the desperate itching feeling consume his entire being (not that he knew how to satiate it) to the point where he lept out of his house, searching for something-- anything-- to fulfill his unknown desire.
And he certainly hadn't meant to end up at his (rather adorable, in his opinion) classmate's home, crashing onto her balcony and destroying several pots in the process.

He’s clearly making an effort to be friends. Megumi isn’t - he isn’t a cruel person. Not to those that don’t deserve it, and he isn’t a robot either, despite the jokes his classmates make. Itadori doesn’t deserve it.
With a sense of finality, he thinks: Tsumiki wouldn’t like it if he were unkind to Itadori, when Itadori was being kind to him. And that settles it.
