Summary
A goalie can learn a lot about someone’s play from watching them for upwards of ten years. It actually functions as a pretty good empathy-builder— Robin can have a disastrous turnover right in front of the net, but Nancy was there back when she was doing that all the time. Nancy, nowadays, has a well-developed sense of empathy and perspective when it comes to Robin.
She does.

Summary
Nancy moves to the English countryside — just for the month. Just until she can clear her thoughts.
The well-earned sabbatical brings a few more trials than she initially intended, including pub-going neighbors, an irish setter that might’ve been a wizard in its past life, and the prettiest groundskeeper Nancy has ever seen.

Summary
“Looks like we’ve got to swap.” The girl says, running up to them. “I’m Nancy.” She gestures to the man beside her who gives a two fingered salute and says, “Eddie.”
“Steve Harrington.” Steve introduces from beside her, using his full name like a total dork. Then he slings an arm around Robin, who takes that as her cue to give an awkward little wave.
“Robin.” She squeaks out from under Steve’s arm.
“How do we want to do this?” Nancy asks, carefully eyeing the four members of their group. And Robin knows she should open her mouth, suggest that Eddie go with her and Nancy with Steve, but she can’t seem to make it work. Eddie doesn’t look particularly like he’s into sports but he’s got muscles, so he must be strong, and Nancy looks so petite. Also beautiful, and Robin knows if she doesn’t function well around strangers in general, she is worse around pretty girls.
But then Nancy is speaking, stepping closer to Robin. “Us girls can stick together.”

Steve and Robin sign up to run the Amazing Race and don't account for the fact that Amazing Race is 35 seasons in and always looking for ways to mix it up. This years gimmick? A partner swap.

Summary
Ronancetober Prompts. All fluff, because they deserve it. A snippet:
Nancy’s pulling on her jacket and boots at 11pm on a Wednesday because Robin might’ve killed a fish.
“He’s dead, Nance. Shit, shit, shit. Or he’s gonna be. Oh my god, Dee asked me to feed him for a week and I’ve killed him.”
Fingers the Fish, Robin’s roommate’s betta, is apparently “lethargic” and there’s “a white spot on his fin, maybe?” and “he’s swimming strangely, Nance, I swear.” Nancy’s pretty sure he’s fine. Nancy’s pretty sure the way that Robin described lethargy is just…being a fish. If it's not, they'll figure it out, and Nancy will go to whatever awful funeral Dee and her theater troupe put on, standing next to Robin and studiously avoiding eye contact so that they don't burst into laughter.
It’s halfway through lacing her second boot, hunched on the little stool by her front door and considering which 7-Eleven is the best option at this hour for Robin’s favorite sour candy, that Nancy realizes. Her hands slow on her shoelaces; her back straightens; and her mouth goes dry.
“Shit,” she says into the silence of her studio apartment.
Nancy is, as it turns out, entirely in love with Robin.
