Summary
Louis met Harry just a few years ago at a mutual friend’s house party and within minutes they clicked.
Not realising Louis was straight, a guy was hitting on him and wouldn't take no for an answer. Enter Harry, an observant stranger with the greenest eyes who stepped in, hugged him, kissed him on the cheek and called him ‘sweet cheeks’. For a second Louis had been at a loss for words but then caught on to what Harry was playing at and before too long the man disappeared and a beautiful friendship was born between two men. Louis dating women, Harry dating men, but also harbouring a secret crush on his best friend.
Louis had been working hard recently and was feeling disconnected from his friends. Nothing felt like home any more, so in an an effort to relieve some of Louis' work stress, and disconnect he has been feeling, Harry takes him on a well deserved break in the sun. Just the two of them.
Then one day, by their private pool, in the shade of a tree under the Spanish sun, an otherwise innocent question from a playfully Harry changes the path for them both. Is this a one time thing, will it end their friendship or is Harry about to have all of his dreams come true?

“It’s not that I don’t trust her, but you know how she is, Lou. Taylor’s so…”
“Perfect?”
“Exactly! She intimidates me a bit. I wouldn’t be this worked up if it were someone else. I’d probably be less nervous if it was a total stranger or, I don’t know… someone I knew wouldn’t judge me if I’m terrible at it.”
Louis knew he shouldn’t laugh, but he couldn’t help a small chuckle from slipping out. “Sorry, sorry… but, H, aren’t you overthinking this a bit?”
“I don’t know… I just want everything to be perfect…” Harry seemed to drift off, thinking, then turned back to Louis. “Lou?”
“Yeah?”
“You wouldn’t… No, forget it.”
Louis raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “No, Harry, come on. What’s going on in that curly head of yours?”
Harry flicked his cigarette to the ground, taking one last drag. “Would you… help me?”

Or- Harry and Louis were best friends, but after a rather unusual request for help, their relationship—and their friendship—fell apart. They cross paths again five years later, with Louis now in the same band as Harry’s ex, Taylor, and a past to confront and a future to decide.
