"I figured," Kageyama says, not looking over at him.

"Sheesh," the man began, leaning back into his seat. "No umbrella for the rain, you can't close car doors—what is this, your first day on Earth?"
Kageyama's human body seized with what he could now name as 'fear'. His muscles tensed, his heart hammered against his ribs. Caught. He'd been caught already.
The man eyed him for a moment before erupting into light, melodic laughter that seemed to fill the warm cabin. "I'm just messing with you," he said, a teasing grin on his face as he pushed and pulled some knobs. The car rumbled to life, and the world outside began to move. "I'm sure you must've had a rough night. Drinking and all..."
Drinking?
Ah. This human must think he had inebriated himself, hence his pitiful state. It was a far better cover than admitting he was a Celestial being.
"Yes," Kageyama affirmed with a stammer. "I am very inebriated."
