Summary
Levi had been plagued by nightmares about giant monsters for as long as he could remember. Worst of all were the nightmares where he saw the group he was part of suffer and there was nothing he could do to help. The people from his nightmares didn't leave him alone during the day either. Whenever he thought he recognised someone, he ran after them only to be disappointed. Sleepless nights became more frequent and his study suffered from it so much that he had to drop out. That didn't mean he would give up. Maybe becoming a janitor at a school wasn't his dream job, but he was grateful he at least got a job and was determined to make it a succes. But why did his nightmares have to follow him even there? Those people couldn't be real. Was he losing his mind?

“Just because I don't get you doesn't mean I don't want to try.” Moblit grabbed the piece of wall from Hange’s gasp. “I may not get you, but I know you. I can tell something is wrong. Talk to me.”

Hange stayed up late with their science research and moblit comes in and at first is like “go to bed” but they just keep studying so he ends up staying with her and they talk and shit gets deep like about the war and all that and they eventually fall asleep together. There is a lil twist at the end too!

Hello everyone.
This is my first attempt at writing a short and to the point Fan Fic story involving Hange and Moblit, I've tried to keep the setting and characters as close to cannon as possible while expanding on the Hange/Moblit relationship into something more intimate. This short story is set at the end of Episode 49 "Night of the battle to retake the wall" the final episode of season 3 part 1. It's the evening and early morning before the scouts leave to retake wall maria and the return to Shiganshina Arc begins.

The day he will die, it will take him at least a couple of hours to realise he’s really dead.
Moblit has always told himself this.
Something inside him has convinced him that when his time comes, death will have the face of Hange.
He can’t say whether it will be serene and smiling as he likes to imagine, or dark and annoyed for having left her alone without fulfilling his duty (more of a promise, really) to delay her own departure. Honestly, he doesn't know.
In any case, death will have her face.
He’s increasingly certain of this. And that’s why, in moments like these, it’s always so hard to make sense of anything.
