Just after his eleventh birthday, Sam Winchester received a letter dropped off by an owl of all things. Dean Winchester knew two things: First, their dad would absolutely kill a wizard, even if he was family, and second, this Ilvermorny place was not far enough away from their father by any stretch of the imagination.
Harry Potter chose a very important train compartment on his first ride to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There was a small boy sitting alone in the compartment reading, and this boy had on his person three knives and a bottle of holy water. Harry Potter had found his people.
Severus Snape thought he must be extremely unlucky to be the only faculty member at the school who had a muggle landline phone at his summer residence…unlucky, but also so very thankful. Because after countless shocking, concerning, and frankly bizarre calls from one of his students’ guardians each summer, a Dean Winchester, well, Severus’s life was taking on a completely new and welcome direction.

One of my favorite authors at it again with an incredible crossover fic... so excited!!!! The first chapter is fantastic in setting everything up.
Major spoilers!
Ch 34 - 3/28/26
1 - Dean has to sell himself to get the money needed to fly Sam to England and buy his supplies. He and Severus have a definite rapport going and that's with only two phone calls. But once he gets back from putting Sam on a plane, their dad is waiting. Dean refuses to tell him where Sam is and it looks like John is going to hurt him to try to get the info out of him
2 - Sam is a force to be reckoned with! He and Harry meet on the train and he's already noted that Harry's family is abusive, don't like magic and don't feed him. They both sort into Slytherin and he is going to bring Harry to Snape because of his scar flare up since H doesn't know if he has allergies. They befriended Ron and Neville on the train who both sorted in Gryffindor
28 D & S clear the air, D says he'll wait, since age is the issue, he's only getting older. H has hoarding issues, D helps. Candy, O's new girlfriend, thinks D and Sam will be her step sons
29 Candy thinks D is O's son from a teen pregnancy that his family prevented him from claiming, they didn't disabuse her of the idea because they are afraid she might tell CPS, etc. Sam will go to Quiddich World Cup, H is staying w/D, says doesn't want to lose 2 weeks of having a family (internally doesn't want to lose time not having the weight of Wizarding world's heavy expectations
30 H is probably gay, no interest in beautiful girls. H dreams Ruby is helping baby!Voldy. S tells abt Tournament
31 Sam and Hermoine take out a few Death Eaters at the cup via stabbing and nine iron.
32 D and H do fun roadtrip things. S takes H to hear the prophecy and reassures him he won’t be doing it alone.
33 H is in the tournament, but S's bond to Dumbles breaks because he sees D doesn't have H's best interests in mind
34 D is feeling the push to find a way past muggle repelling wards, so consults w/Pamela who tells him he needs to find a trickster, specifically Loki. He gets Charlie to give helpful info about 1st task. Owen is going after Skeeter for smearing H -

Summary
When the Outbreak hit, Harry Potter was not anywhere he should have been.
Stranded in America, Harry must fight his way to survive and find a cure for the muggle plague that is somehow bringing the dead back to life. But with the power set to go out at the CDC and no cure in sight, Harry turns his focus to finding survivors and protecting those he can until Hermione and Dr. Jenner can find a way to end this thing. He runs into a group of survivors stranded on a roof in Atlanta and from there everything slowly starts to change.
What is one lone wizard supposed to do when surrounded by strangers at the end of the world? Will Harry be able to save these people and get back home to those he calls family? And Why is it that the longer he stays with these American Muggles the more a part of him want's to stay?

Really unique story that uses a bit of the sleeping beauty fairy tale with Harry as sleeping beauty, so that we get to focus more on the other characters like Neville (who is frickin amazing!) and Draco and Severus (who both have their world views shift and then step up and help) Definitely a story I'll reread in the future
Book 1 is the main story and is complete. Book 2 is incomplete (as of 3/2026) and consists of timestamps from the summer between 2nd and 3rd year as Harry is getting used to being at the Malfoy's and having people care about him
