Summary
Mine’s hand landed like a feather on his waist, fingertips brushing the edges where the sweatpants stopped and where his hip dipped. Tracing the coronal plane, Mine ran his index and middle finger up, embracing the curves of Daigo’s body. They tumbled over a raised scar or two on the journey up, pausing briefly to rub the paled tissue with a finger pad. He played on the border of his back before crossing over to circle a sculpted shoulder.
Mine leaned his cheek into Daigo’s hair and gentle, into his ear, his lips brushing the conch and the piercings inlaid there, said, “You’re beautiful under the moonlight.”
Daigo and Mine have a comfortable night in, sharing a drink and holding each other close under the sheets as they banter about birthdays.

He pinched the crystalline glasses between his fingers and stood back up to witness Mine’s hand wrapped around the neck of the gin bottle. Stubborn eyes scowled at the clear liquid before he brought the bottle to his lips and threw his head back. Mine took one, two, three, four full swallows of it before pulling the alcohol away with a grimace and an even darker frown.
He put the bottle back where it sat but didn’t let go of it. His back straightened, and his hand remained pulsing, dripping blood between his thighs.
Daigo returned the glasses and grabbed the small black waste basket below the shelf.
Mine loses a fight against a glass decanter.

Mine looked stricken. “Chairman, you shouldn’t have done that on my account! I’ll be fine, and even if I’m… under the weather, you could have conducted the meeting without me!”
Daigo kept his voice soft as he sat across from Mine and took one of his hands into his own, gently rubbing his thumb back and forth as they held hands.
“How am I supposed to be at the meeting when I’ll be at home taking care of you?”
Mine made a face, no doubt to complain about how he didn’t need taken care of when there was such an important meeting on the horizon, but Daigo stopped him.
