She was willing to bet that once again, Lyney would have no idea where she was and what had been done to her until hours later. Once again, she had taken the fall for him, the less important twin — the inconvenient sister — who had to be dealt with so he could be successfully manipulated.
Lyney would get himself out of trouble even without her there to help. Lynette, on the other hand, was nobody without him, with no spotlight to create a shadow for her to hide in, nobody to whisk her away from harm. After all these years, she was still reduced to nothing the moment adversity came.
Or, five times Lynette goes hungry and one time she doesn't.

Arlecchino’s gaze softened, though her expression remained composed. “You have quite the spirit, Miss Furina. I must admit, it’s refreshing…” She said, almost smiling.
“Yet, do you feel it, Miss Furina? The pull of the unknown, the allure of the darkness?” Arlecchino’s voice was almost hypnotic. “You should know what you’re asking for, Miss Furina.”
Furina fought to keep her composure, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. “This is what I want.” she said firmly, blue eyes not backing down from red ones. “You’re the one too afraid to admit the truth.”
Arlecchino’s lips formed into a small, intrigued smile. “A vampire hunter’s daughter, fascinated by the very creatures she was raised to hunt. You are indeed unique, Miss Furina.”
The tension only grew as they both refused to back down. Furina more determined of the two as she grasped Arlecchino’s collar, pulling her down as the space between them nearly reached zero. Arlecchino’s eyes betrayed her as they glanced at Furina’s lips.
“See, you can’t deny it, can you?” Furina smugly added, her eyes intense as her eyes traveled from Arlecchino’s lips back to those red X’s.
