Summary
Rossa directs her grief out into the world, at anything and everything that will listen. Nero, implement in hand, goes the opposite direction.
This isn't an AU so much as it is a really dark interpretation of events that canon hasn't touched on. I intend for it to be read as something that reasonably could've happened, but wouldn't be outright shown in-game.

Summary
(... yeah, isekai titles kind of give it all away, don't they?)
Generally speaking, after getting whacked with your back turned a fraction of a second before what would have been the turning point of your near-comically disproportionately miserable life, nothing much is supposed to happen. You die, after all, and like all beings of flesh and bone, you stay dead.
You do not, as a rule of thumb, wake up gasping for breath in a parallel universe - one where absolutely nothing seems to have stayed the same, and the only people even remotely familiar have been doused in a veneer of toothless amicability. But you know better, don't you?
... that this can't possibly be better than the life you left?
