“Arf! Arf! Arf!”
“He says he told Orochimaru that he’d shred the stasis seal to prevent further experiments if he didn’t come get you,” Pakkun translates.
“Always the dramatics, Sasuke-kun,” Orochimaru sighs. “Honestly, haven’t we been through enough together? You know I wouldn’t delay you treatment to indulge my own whims.”
Beyond the second half of that statement, it was a bit rich for Orochimaru to be calling people dramatic, Kakashi thinks.

Nie Huaisang realizes his hand is cramping, the sides of the fan digging into his palm where he’s gripped it. He unclenches his hands and rubs them against his robes, trying to rid them of the sensation. It feels too much like holding a blade.

Summary
“That’s an ugly pet you’ve got there,” Satoru comments, peering over Yuuji’s shoulder for a better look at the blob of baby-pink flesh he’s cradling.
A baleful red eye bores into him. “Gojou Satoru—”
“I think he’s kinda cute.”
Sukuna’s comically tiny mouth—made all the more hilarious by how the voice coming from within is still his deep bass—snaps shut, that single eye swiveling back to Yuuji while dripping offense and incredulity.
“Cute?” Satoru asks, joining Sukuna in staring at Yuuji.
There’s an unrepentant shrug. “Like a very weird cat. I think he’d be a cat, if he were an animal. You too, sensei. Different types, though. Very different.”
“You’ve…put a lot of thought into this,” Satoru says faintly.
“I’ve had a lot of time to think.” Yuuji smiles. The first smile Satoru’s seen from him, and all he can think is that Yuuji should never, ever smile—not like this. “Hey, Sukuna? If I give you the choice to stay with me, you’ll just say no again, right?”
In one world, death snatches Satoru away from the arms of victory. In this one, his student saves him from the jaws of death.
But this isn’t the Yuuji he knows.

Summary
Sukuna bites his tongue off.
Yuuji breaks the kiss, shoving Sukuna away while he focuses on regrowing his tongue. “What the hell, man?!”
Sukuna doesn’t dignify him with an answer. Or he’s just too busy chewing up Yuuji’s tongue to bother.
“Disgusting,” is the verdict. “You never not disappoint.”
“Are you seriously complaining that I don’t taste good enough, you cannibal weirdo?” Yuuji shakes his head. “And what kind of a kiss was that! This is why you didn’t get laid back in the Heian era.”
All four of Sukuna’s eyes narrow. “Intend to change that, do you.”
Yuuji doesn’t actually know whether Sukuna fucked or not back then. He doesn’t really care.
“Intend to let me?” he shoots back.
Sukuna smiles, slow and vile and dripping red.
“Why not,” he says, his voice a low, rumbling purr that sends a chill down Yuuji’s spine. “Let’s see how desperate you truly are.”
Skin ripples and flesh bulges.
The almost-familiar lines of Yuuji’s body split apart around Sukuna’s true form.
Yuuji makes a last-ditch attempt to impress his humanity upon Sukuna. But success is a double-edged sword.

“What the fuck are you?”
“Satoru!” the newcomer—Yuuji, his other self called him—crows, miasmic cursed energy radiating from him in great, heaving waves. Satoru doesn’t blink, but he still doesn’t see Yuuji move. One moment, he’s a respectable distance away, and the next, there are two palms splayed on Satoru’s desk and warm brown eyes mere inches away from his own. “You’re so young! This is adorable!”
“What,” Satoru says, confused and maybe a little panicked, “the fuck?”
“That’s a good question—” Yuuji starts to say, only to be damn near strangled by the pair of arms that wrap around his neck, yanking him back against a taller body. A too-familiar chin digs into Yuuji’s shoulder as Satoru’s accursed other self shamelessly nuzzles into him.
“Don’t abandon me like that, Yuuji,” the bastard whines. Under the goddamn blindfold, his eyes are fixed on Satoru. “I’m also young and adorable.”
Gojou Satoru and Itadori Yuuji travel back in time to avert an apocalyptic future. Sixteen-year-old Satoru has opinions about the whole thing.
