    Summary

George Russell was raised to walk clean lines: Business first, emotions last, everything accounted for.
He thought becoming a vet instead of a businessman would be enough rebellion for one lifetime.

But when his father decides to make use of that career choice and sends him to the rodeo circuit under the pretext of evaluating a sponsorship, George is reminded that he’s still a Russell and that debt to the family name always comes due.

He expects sweat, noise, long days, and maybe a chance to learn something useful.
He doesn’t expect to find something that feels like freedom. Or the infuriating, unreadable cowboy who keeps challenging every rule he’s ever lived by, refusing to let him hide behind perfect manners.

Out there, the ground is wild.
And the longer George stays, the harder it becomes to remember which side he was supposed to stand on.

    Summary

“George is not my boyfriend,” Max responds automatically. Then, “he’s mad at me again.”

    “What did you do?”

“Nothing. He’s always mad at me.”

No one bats an eye at them, not really. It’s an open secret around the paddock that they sometimes fuck when they’re not fighting and sometimes when they are fighting. It’s stress-relief, sex you don’t need to sign an NDA for. It works even if George causes him more stress than he relieves. At least he’s quiet with a dick in his mouth. Sometimes.

    Bookmarker's Notes

so many russtappen fics have been falling into the trap of making george overly delicate and treating him as a breakable thing, and this is the best possible response to the phenomenon. impeccable, delightful, thirsty and fiery as they most likely would be.

    Summary

“Choice?” George laughed, a dry, humorless sound. He finally turned. His face was pale, his eyes, normally so full of calculated ambition, now shone with a feverish, watery light. “You never give choices, Max. You take. You take the racing line, you take the decisions, you take… what you want.”

    “It's a race, George. It wasn't personal.”
“Everything is personal with you!” he exploded, and the mask of coldness shattered. His voice trembled, laden with tears of rage. “I do everything right! Everything. I follow the plan, I'm consistent, I'm fast… and you, with your… your chaos, your Alpha luck, you ruin it! And on top of that, you laugh! The world allows it!”
