His stomach swoops, pulse stopping completely before his heartrate picks up, thundering hard enough that he can feel it in his feathers.
There, near the ceiling and stuck to the wall, dangling down from a bright red band that’s held up by a nail, is a mistletoe. It’s plush, the green strong even in the dim light, small berries winking at him.
Keigo’s mouth drops open, forming a soundless “oh.”

Keigo, whose head moves back and forth between the two strangers fighting in front of the KFC, shrugs. “I have absolutely no idea.”
The dark haired man turns to the white haired man – Satoru, apparently. His hands are shoved into the pockets of his loose pants, his chin tilted up. “Are you the strongest because you’re Gojō Satoru? Or does being the strongest make you Gojō Satoru?”
“Holy shit.” Touya lets out a quiet snort, and Keigo almost wants to cover his mouth to avoid them being discovered. “Are those guys LARPing?”

Summary
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away, Todoroki Touya was the estranged eldest son of the evil king, Endeavor, who had recently defeated the fair and just leader, All Might, for the throne. To celebrate his victory over the throne, a ball was thrown and Touya meets a foreign prince who promises to whisk him away from his loveless life.
They spend the evening dancing and laughing, but at midnight Touya must leave his prince to avoid being discovered by the evil king. In his haste, he forgets his glass slipper.
Will he be rescued by his prince or will he be trapped in the castle by the evil king for the rest of his life?
Okay – in all seriousness. Touya isn’t a prince, and his father isn’t the king. He’s not that estranged from his family and Enji didn’t usurp Number 1 from anyone. The ball is a charity auction, dancing is an innuendo and Touya left much, much later than midnight.
He did leave a family heirloom, a ruby earring, behind though, and Hawks might be the fairytale romance he never asked for.

Summary
Hakata, 1482. In a medieval Japan in which quirks are considered curses, Todoroki Touya lives hidden inside his family's house after miraculously surviving a fire he started when he was a kid that left him severely scarred.
As the years go by, Touya can only watch the boring life of his village from his window, forgotten by everyone except for his brother, Shouto. But one day something happens: a group of Curse Bearers arrives in Hakata and the smell of flowers will lead one of them straight to Touya.

Touya blinks a couple of times, confused by the statement.

"Oh?" Dabi taunts in that flashfire voice of his; and Hawks is reminded, yet again, how easily he burns. "Tell me, what poor little bastard's gonna be riding your ugly-ass coattails for the next few months?"
Hawks frowns, realizing he's just set up a question he actually has to answer. Dabi will find out anyway, won't he? If there's one thing Hawks has learned, it's that Dabi has his ways. Hawks can never hide anything from him, no matter how hard he tries, a fact that will someday spell his undoing –– but there's no way around it now.
Willing his fight-or-flight instinct into silence, Hawks reminds his sharpened feathers he's not here for either. It'll be fine. The worst part of removing a bandaid is the dread before you rip it off. Right?
So Hawks braces himself, and answers:
"Todoroki Shouto."

Hawks' doomed flight towards the sun is thrown off-course when he receives a surprise request from Endeavor's son, asking to be his work-study student. And soon, Dabi's worst nightmare takes a new form when Shouto joins Hawks' obvious-as-hell spy mission, putting them in forced proximity -- only for him to discover that his father's perfect masterpiece is nothing like he thought he was.
