He was ethereal. Blue eyed, beautiful, soft lipped and scruffy. He was definitely a man and not a teenager. He cleared his throat quickly, but no words came out. They were staring each other down, eyes searching each others before his radio scared the shit out of Nick. He jumped when it began to speak. “310, no suspect at the building. We’re searching.”
He clicked the button “Of course not!” Was all he said, but didn’t confirm that he had this guy for some reason. He took in a shaky breath, then bent over at the knees to catch his breath better.
“You’re awfully jumpy for a cop.”
“You’re awfully mouthy for someone that just said they weren’t speaking to me.” He countered back without thinking and began to pat him down for weapons, only finding a wallet in his front pocket. He pulled it out and tossed it onto the ground, “What’s your name?”
