Alex didn’t think it was possible, but Henry’s hold turns tighter, and he pulls away slightly so that he can bite at the underside of Alex’s jaw, leaving a hickey high enough that Alex would have trouble covering it. Alex tilts his chin for better access, wanting to know if Henry is doing this just to deter Spencer.
“Is he still looking?”
“Alex,” Henry mutters, sounding annoyed. “I’m kissing you, stop thinking about other men.”

“Oh, hello. You’re awake,” he says in the midst of pulling off his sweater. Alex shamelessly drags his gaze over his bare arms and grins to himself, head tilted.

Summary
Henry and Alex meet on a stormy evening at a diner in a north Austin suburb. At the end of the evening, Mother Nature intervenes once again and Henry loses Alex's number and wonders if it's fate speaking.
Alex waits patiently for Henry to call, then less patiently. He searches, unable to find the man he had a connection with at the diner.
Henry, who still holds out some hope despite giving up, makes one last attempt to push fate along in their favor, hoping it's enough.
