The Carmine mansion feels cold. Which is funny because it's in literal Hell. Carmilla chases heat; in routine, vodka and movement- and trying to not name it for what it is. The last thing she expects is for Velvette to show up acid-rain-soaked and for chaos to turn to comfort. She certainly doesn't expect vulnerability, nor warmth. Nor the ache that follows after.
OR
Carmilla and Velvette reluctantly learning to love. ft a sprinkle of trauma and a lot of difficult emotional intimacy.

Her tail swishes between the inches where their hands almost meet, though; curls itself almost possessively around Mavuika’s wrist.
And despite it all—despite her inhuman strength, and inhuman feats, and inhuman lifetime—Mavuika is human at her core. Her gaze wanders down to where Xilonen’s tail rests, where their hands rest, so close. To where her own heart could rest, easily.
or, Natlan needs saving, and Mavuika and Xilonen convene during the moments between.

When the Pyro Archon dreams up an impossible machine. A vehicle to traverse cliffs, water, and even the skies. She turns to the only person capable of bringing it to life—Xilonen, the begrudging blacksmith who would rather nap in the sun than entertain another one of Mavuika’s wild ideas.
Kinda inspired by Mavuika’s Flamestrider story. (But MORE mavuinen)
