Summary
Adriana doesn’t tell their parents that she’s going to LA. She doesn’t tell Eddie, either—or ask, for that matter.
She does ask Chris, and he thinks it’s a good idea—says as much, on the phone, and doesn’t say much else.
“Buck will probably be hovering,” is what Chris does volunteer.
It still surprises her when the man who opens the door is not Eddie. It’s—Captain America, is the thing that actually comes to mind—a man close to a foot taller than she is, if not more than that, with blond curls and broad shoulders, and he’s got a question in his very blue eyes that’s probably less friendly than the one he actually asks her.
“Uh,” he says. “Can I help you?”
—
Or: Adriana arrives in LA. Maddie has been here the whole time.

Summary
Roy isn't sure he expects Jamie to shows up at four am this time.
Jamie shows up.
***
“The next time you want to tie my dick up,” Jamie spits, voice ragged, “just fucking ask, yeah? Don’t drag bloody practice into it!”
The quiet between them yawns years-wide.
Jamie’s eyes blaze into Roy’s, hot, wet, and vulnerable. The tight coiled thing inside Roy’s claws at his restraint, his shame, his fear.
“Fuck you,” Roy hisses, as natural as breathing. Jamie’s brow arches. His lip twitches into that bitchy, arrogant, insufferably handsome half-smile.
“Fuck me yourself, you fucking coward.”

Summary
There is a box in Eddie’s mind.
There is a box, and in it he places all the things he can’t have: pink nail polish, and rainbow hues, and storm grey eyes. He fills it until it is full to bursting and he clicks it shut.
He locks his box and he throws away the key.
Years later, there will be a boy, and his clever fingers will reach into his skull, untangle the knot of fear and hate and longing and repression that resides within his brain, and unlock the lid.
For now, the box will be forgotten.
Or, Eddie is lost, and lost, and found again.

Summary
He thinks about it, and then he doesn’t think about it because there’s no time to think about it. And he’s only half thinking about it when they’re in the locker room at the end of shift, and he asks if Buck wants to do something that evening. And Buck, honest to God, says to him, “Ah, uh, I have a date.”
It’s said with a head duck and a flutter of eyelashes, that thing Buck does a lot when he’s embarrassed or being coy that makes Eddie’s stomach swoop and plummet like a Tilt-A-Whirl. He sounds almost…sheepish.
But Eddie’s not crazy. Buck and Tommy broke up not even three weeks ago, seriously, unless it was a madness-induced hallucination and not something that actually happened in real life.
“Huh,” Eddie says. He doesn’t mean to say huh, but that’s what happens anyway.
Christopher has been in Texas for too long, and Buck gets back on the hamster wheel. Eddie considers some things.
