So he called up his local moving company earlier that week. They’re not cheap, and he’s still gonna have to tip the guys at the end of the day, but it’s not like he has much of a choice.
The truck rolls up to the complex right on time, and Tyler meets them outside to go over logistics. A man hops out of the driver’s side, and Tyler stops dead in his tracks.
The man is shirtless.

He didn't think about what would come after they had sex. He didn't consider that perhaps once they've fucked, the excitement Ilya was obviously feeling while chasing him would be gone. Because he might not have gotten a reply to any of his texts, but he's pretty sure no answer is still very much an answer and Ilya's just waiting for him to get the fucking hint already.

Clancy swallows. He really isn’t going to get out of this, is he? He’s going to have to sit beside Spooky and pray to god that his mouth can just stay shut. “Mhm. Put on a movie too, please.” For some reason, he thinks he'll be able to get away with not speaking to Spooky the entire time.

Summary
Tyler looks at Josh now, at the slope of his nose and the curve of his jaw and the wear lines that appear when he squeezes his eyes shut, and sees all he’s ever really wanted. Someone who truly understands him. The real him, that’s messy and emotional and compulsive. Someone who’s stayed regardless of it all, and has never made Tyler feel like a burden or an issue to solve. Someone who's managed to fill the complicated gap within him that he thought he'd just have to learn to live with.
Tyler isn’t sure if he’ll ever feel less than indebted to him. Like he needs to dedicate a raw, beating part of himself to Josh for the rest of his life, ribs wretched open, bleeding onto Josh’s jeans, just so he understands how much he means to Tyler. How completely Tyler thought he’d never have anything like this.

A year into their stint as a two-piece band, Tyler and Josh perform a festival together, and Tyler reflects on everything that Josh means to him.
