    This is his city, where he was born and raised, where his roots have grown and dug themselves into each crack and crevice the streets have to offer. This city is just as much a part of Taesan as he’s part of the city. He has telephone wires for veins, the glow of streetlights in his eyes, flecks of spray paint under his fingernails and a maze of alleys in the lines of his palms.

    Jaehyun blinks at Dongmin. His eyes widen as if he hadn’t noticed that he was whispering. Dongmin stares back blankly.

    Jaehyun clears his throat but still doesn’t speak.

    “You– you don’t whisper,” Dongmin fills in. “Even when we go to the cinema,” he reminds Jaehyun, “you don’t even whisper then.”

     

    Or, Dongmin feels his entire being exist in sync with Jaehyun’s, and he thinks that Jaehyun already knows everything Dongmin wants to tell him.
