If Alexander Pierce, notorious weapons dealer, can be tricked into selling to SHIELD, his entire business will be exposed and the planet will be just a little safer. Steve's not the best at undercover work, but there was nobody else for the job and he would do anything to close the deal.
Of course, things get complicated when the deal turns into a competition. Things get more complicated when the competition starts hinging on who can hurt Pierce's submissive the most. Among the stakes will be certain priceless vibranium artifacts smuggled out of Wakanda, which we seek to recover. In addition, some trafficked young women may be put up as bets as well, and we have reason to believe these young women may have been trafficked from the former Black Widow program after its destruction.”
“That sounds like a mission I’d be happy to assist with,” Zemo tells Nakia. “I presume I will be joining these high stakes games to win these particular bets?"
When Zemo is offered a chance to go on a mission to Latveria, where a high-stakes poker game could lead to the recovery of some of Wakanda's vibranium, he's happy to accept, eager for any distraction from his dubiously effective "rehabilitation." Unfortunately, his mission partner will be Barnes, and Zemo still has no idea how or why Barnes prevented Zemo from killing himself on the Raft, or why everyone seems so certain that Barnes will be able to win at the poker table. He only knows that he still owes Barnes, and he has no idea how to make things right with him, or with anyone else.

Summary
