Summary
“So,” he tries again. “I have this friend.”
“Uh huh,” Eddie replies, still focused on his guitar, twisting a string and plucking it experimentally.
Steve swallows.
“He, uh-“ Steve runs a hand through his hair, fingers snagging slightly. “He has a crush on someone.”

Summary
“They say,” he repeats, eyes trained on the horizon, where the first colorful lights are bursting in the sky, “that this is the end of the world. Some people, at least. Don't let Henderson catch you, I think he had a cup of punch too many and now he's telling everyone who doesn't wanna hear about it. Something about all of the computers going nuts and destroying human civilization as we know it.”
“Huh,” says Steve, swaying closer so that he can wrap an arm around Eddie’s waist. A strand of curly hair tickles his shoulder. “Sounds made up, if you ask me.”
Eddie hums. “So do mirror dimensions and wormholes and evil, telepathic wizards.”

Summary
Scott’s not really surprised to spot Ilya Rozanov backstage, getting lightly swarmed by a crowd of sound techs and hair and makeup crew. Even on the rare year that neither of them were getting any awards, the League always tried to get either him or Hollander, and preferably both, presenting something. And since Hollander was still out for the count and recovering up in Ottawa, that left Rozanov, standing awkwardly while a harried-looking woman straightened his bow-tie.
Or: Scott Hunter's not really sure what's happening right now.

Summary
Hayden knows what he saw. Clear as day, right there in the middle of Shane’s text thread with Lily.
A dick pic.
Hayden keeps mindlessly scrolling Instagram—a pantomime of paying attention, not really taking in anything that’s passing across his screen. Mind racing as a series of realizations wash over him.
Christ, no wonder Shane was so cagey about Lily. No wonder he didn’t want to introduce her to the guys.
Hayden would like to believe that everyone would be chill with it, but he could think of at least five guys off the top of his head that would a hundred percent take issue with Shane dating a trans woman. He can imagine, far too easily, the kind of slurs that would get thrown around the locker room if anyone ever found out. Towards Lily, sure, but towards Shane too—because Shane had to be gay, if his girlfriend had a dick, right?
Or, Hayden finds out something that he was never supposed to, and decides that the only thing he can do is show his best friend that he can be the best ally ever, if he just gives him the chance.Series

Summary
He hadn’t gotten it then, what it felt like to be hunted, but he gets it now. It’s the slick slide of dread down your spine, the weight of eyes on you; the need to twist the lock and barricade the door.
It’s the thing at the edge of the woods behind his house. Only a shadow, but there all the same. Watching. Waiting. Gone whenever Steve can buck up his courage and check it out, bat in hand.
