During what should be a simple mission, the group, as a grade, are tasked with locating and arresting a "low-level" villain. However, they unknowingly give her exactly what she wants. Izuku.
Using her ability, she infiltrates Izuku's conscious and tips the inner balance of what should and shouldn't be expressed verbally or physically. With this new interference, Katsuki is torn whether or not to believe the very unlike Izuku things his friend (?) says and acts upon.

The emotion weighing on him couldn’t be put into words, and when he tried, his voice cracked and his vision blurred. “How could you love me after that?”
“Me loving you has nothing to do with that. Even if you had been ‘fast enough’,” he gave air quotes around ‘fast enough’, “even if it was your fault, which it isn’t, it wouldn’t change how I feel about you in the slightest. You could’ve ripped my heart out with your own two hands, and I would still be as devoted to you as the day I first laid eyes on you. In every universe, including this one, you’re my person, and you always will be.”
